Third Culture Tales Amsterdam
April 24, 2025 CLINKNoord
we returned to Amsterdam for another intimate and unforgettable night of stories, sounds, and shared emotion at ClinkNOORD’s Galaxy Room. With a packed room and a beautifully warm energy, the April edition of Third Culture Tales brought together voices from across the spectrum of identity, migration, and belonging.
The evening opened with a story from Nazy, founder of Third Culture Tales, who reflected on the deep-rooted complexity of growing between cultures, and how storytelling itself has become her form of homebuilding. Her words offered grounding and resonance for what would follow.
Francesco brought a poetic, thought-provoking narrative that merged his work as a researcher and soundscape curator with questions of purpose and disconnection. His story reminded us how even the most academic journeys are deeply emotional at their core.
Cecilia took the audience on a surreal and witty ride through metaphors and linguistic alchemy—exploring love, value, and human connection with her signature absurdist flair. She left the room both laughing and thinking.
With her calm power and clear voice, Suzan offered a glimpse into family, cultural inheritance, and the untold stories of Amsterdam’s hidden communities. Her work as a writer and visual storyteller came through with precision and depth.
The night concluded with a soulful live set by Agustine, whose voice and instrumentation blended seamlessly into the evening’s theme of cultural layering. His music traveled across languages and lands, reminding us once again that sound is a borderless form of story.
Third Culture Tales: Amsterdam in April was a beautiful reflection of the city itself—diverse, layered, and full of moments that stay with you long after the night ends.
We’re so grateful to our performers and audience for another evening of honesty, laughter, and recognition. See you again soon—next stop: June 19, same room.
