On December 27, Third Culture Tales: Stories Beyond Borders gathered a full and attentive room at Impossible Stage for a moving end-of-year evening of storytelling and music, presented in partnership with Diaspora Arts Connection.

The night carried a steady rhythm of reflection, humor, and emotional depth. From the first story, the audience leaned in — present, generous, and fully engaged. Laughter moved easily through the space, followed by moments of stillness that signaled deep listening.

Kavian brought thoughtful presence and grounded insight to the stage, offering a performance that resonated quietly and deeply.

David followed with a heartfelt and measured storytelling style that held the room with sincerity and warmth.

Mohammad added his own powerful voice to the evening, drawing the audience into a shared space of attentiveness and reflection.

To close the night, Sara delivered a stunning live musical set. Her mastery of the barbat (oud) and her meditative presence shifted the atmosphere into something expansive and transcendent. The music felt like both an exhale and a gathering — a beautiful way to carry the stories into sound.

By the end of the evening, guests lingered, continuing conversations sparked by what they had witnessed. It was a reminder of what Third Culture Tales aims to create: not just performances, but shared moments of connection across cultures, identities, and lived experiences.

Thank you to the storytellers, to Diaspora Arts Connection, and to everyone who joined us in building that space together.

We look forward to the next gathering.
