On September 20, Third Culture Tales: Stories Beyond Borders made its return to the Bay Area with a sold-out evening of storytelling, poetry, and music at the beautifully intimate Impossible Stage in Berkeley. The space was filled with warmth, curiosity, and laughter as our performers shared deeply personal stories shaped by global movement and cultural multiplicity.

Presented in collaboration with Diaspora Arts Connection, the event featured an incredible lineup of artists whose voices reflected the heart of the third culture experience:

  • Persis brought poetic power and wisdom to the stage, drawing on her decades of work in diaspora literature and personal history.

  • Michael offered sharp insight into culture and communication, bridging his global consultancy experience with a deeply human story.

  • Inanc had the audience laughing and leaning in with a vibrant performance blending comedy, storytelling, and cultural absurdity.

  • Anthony & Vivek co-hosted a spontaneous and interactive segment from their acclaimed show American Immigrants, weaving music and humor into personal tales from the crowd.

The night was a joyful reminder of how art and storytelling can bring people together across backgrounds, geographies, and generations. We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, and to each storyteller who trusted us with their voice.
